Student Information Packet
At Northside Student Ministry we understand that trips like this can be expensive for families. It is our goal that finances would never hinder a student from participating in an event. Therefore, we have set aside some funds to be used as scholarship funds for students unable to pay the full amount. If you would like to request financial assistance please have your student complete this form and turn it in to Tom. Scholarships will be given based upon a variety of factors such as church background and need. A separate group will decide the amount of the scholarship and will notify the student. If you have any questions, please see Tom.
Every Wednesday night, students in 6th-12th grade get together for a worship experience. Our student band leads us in a time of worship and Tom brings a Biblical message that is relevant and timely. Students enjoy this time of fellowship and worship as they are able to reconnect and be refreshed in our midweek service.

Northside Student Ministry will have two mission trips in the summer of 2010. First on the calendar we will be participating in a World Changers trip to West Memphis, Arkansas. Secondly in July we will take a team of six students and three adults to the Pacific Rim to see if it is possible to establish a long term partnership with those serving there. Our goal is to expose students to missions and to give them the opportunity to share the gospel with those that have never heard.
Our large group times are fun, exciting, and incredible. However, the growth of our ministry takes place in connection groups. Groups meet weekly to discuss the Biblical relevance of events and topics that happen in their everyday life. We have junior high and high school groups that meet every Sunday morning. We also have weekly junior high and high school groups that meet in homes in the area.
School has started, but summer isn't over yet. Take an In-Tents camping trip with Northside Student Ministry. God has created a beautiful world for us to enjoy as well as friends to enjoy it with us.
This disciple-oriented weekend is the highlight of our fall calendar. Students stay the weekend in church homes and discuss topics that are targeted to meet their needs. Each group is led by a well-respected adult who works with students on a regular basis at Northside or a similar ministry. DiscipleNow is a time for you to grow in your walk with Christ and establish friendships with those around you. For one weekend be adopted by a familiy within our church along with your friends.
Presidents Day gives us an extra day to enjoy the slopes. Students in 6th-12th grade enjoy an extended weekend as we experience incredible times of worship. We ski on both Saturday and Sunday. Be sure and invite all your friends to this fun and meaningful event.
Our ministry is here to serve every student that comes through our doors or visits our website. There are a lot of opportunities for everyone to get plugged into and plenty of space for growth. Come check out all our activities, which are designed to help you grow in your faith! Find out what we are doing on Sundays, Wednesdays and throughout the year! We have small groups led by adults that meet throughout the week and cell groups led by students on Wednesday nights. No matter the event, activity, or small group, our purpose is the same: To know Jesus and make Him known!
Northside Student Ministry is always looking for capable volunteers and student leaders. It is from this group that the direction and vision of our youth ministry will be developed. We are looking for those who are FAITHFUL, AVAILABLE and TEACHABLE, if you are interested in serving in some capacity within NSM please complete the application that applies to you. We look forward to seeing what God does through NSM!
